Letters to Santa!

Santa Background

On Saturday December 12th from 1300hrs-1600hrs (1:00-4:00 p.m.) it is reported that American Legion Jeff Davis Post 18 Auxiliary has talked Santa into coming to the Post. Santa and his elves will be there to spread gifts and cheer.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, children will not be allowed to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what they would like for Christmas. However, bring your Christmas list to give Santa, and, if you provide him an address, email address or phone number, Santa will get in touch with you. Parents should closely scrutinize the Christmas list so Santa knows the wishes of the children. One rule that must be followed is you must stay in your vehicle. You will be directed down Candy Cane Lane toward Santa and Mrs. Claus.

To the children reading this announcement, please remember and understand: Santa must listen to your parents’ rules. If you don’t get something you want, your loving parents think this is just not the right time for those wishes. Your parents know you better than anyone else, and they want nothing but the best for you. Please remember the song: you better not cry, you better not pout, Santa knows when you’ve been good, Santa knows when you’ve been bad. So be good for goodness sake.

Santa is getting the participation from all branches of Jeff Davis Post 18, Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Riders, Marine Corp League and The Legion. Though there is some mystery to the festivities, this just brings more excitement and anxiousness to Candy Cane Lane. So, on December 12th from 1:00-4:00p.m. bring your kids over to Jeff Davis Post 18 and receive some Christmas cheer.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
